Past Events

June:
Monday June 2- This was the day that we delivered the the petition and delivered a letter to the
region 5 director of the EPA. There were lot's of people for this event. We went in the morning. 

May:
Saturday 31- Bike the boulevard- It is an event where you can ride your bike in the street.
The event will take place form 9am-2pm.  This was a great outreaching event. 

Saturday 24- This is the signature day campaign.
WE are going to go around little village and talk to folks about the coal power plants and
have them sign a petition.  It took place from10am-1pm 

Monday 19-For those interested. There is going to be a Rainforest Action Network non-
violent direct action training.  This was from 5-8pm at Cafe Catedral. 

Sunday 18- There is an event at Dellwood Park, in Lockport IL. May 18,10-4
@Historic Dellwood Park,  Rte 171 & Woods Dr . This was a good event to make up lots
of hours.  We can meet at the office an maybe take on car to the event. 

Saturday 17- There is going to be a community meeting at the office from 10am-11pm.
This meeting gave folks who came information on the signature campaign that we are starting. 

Friday 16- There was a reenactment of the hunger strike for the new high school.
We  left in the afternoon from the office to the new high school and stayed over night.

April: 
Event at MWG and mini- Community Asset Toxic Tour re-cap and pictures

This event was a on April 26th. It was a protest and a community toxic tour.
We took about 13 people on a toxic tour of the community and planned for next steps
to bring the EPA down for a meeting with the community.
